overview & goals

The General Delegation of Palestine represents Palestine diplomatically, strengthens international ties, and raises awareness of its history and political landscape. This project involved a full brand and website redesign to support that mission through modern, engaging visuals. Key goals for the website included streamlining access to consular services, updating the landing page for a modern look, enhancing navigation, and incorporating culturally significant imagery to enrich the content.

Design Elements

The General Delegation of Palestine brand refresh features colours from the Palestinian flag and design elements inspired by Palestinian heritage, ensuring cultural authenticity. Optimized for quick access to essential services, the website harmoniously blends Palestinian identity with usability.

Icon Design System

1. cultural Symbols in Perfect Symmetry

Each icon (the olive leaf, poppy flower, and watermelon) represents Palestinian heritage. The bi-symmetrical design ensures balance, making the icons instantly recognizable and adaptable.

2. Modular and Adaptable

Thanks to their symmetry, these icons can be mixed, matched and recoloured to create unique compositions. Their modular nature allows them to seamlessly integrate into different layouts while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

3. Building with Icons

These icons are more than standalone elements, they are buildable patterns woven throughout the website. The inner page header shown here is just one example of how these symbols create cohesive motifs and subtly reinforce cultural identity across the design.
This icon system was designed to scale across formats, making it easy to extend into social media content, newsletters, print materials, and future digital assets.

Final Designs

The final Palestine Embassy website is mobile-friendly, with a modern, cohesive interface and improved navigation. It clearly reflects the embassy’s values while providing a seamless user experience for both Arabic- and English-speaking visitors.
